Bonny Light Horseman is the group, featuring Anais Mitchell, Eric D Johnson(Fruit Bats) Joshua Kaufman, and myself and Michael Lewis. Keep an eye peeled for this record its something i’m very proud of! We will be popping up here and there over the summer and fall as well, including Newport Folk Festival in July!

Sean Carey, Ben Lester, Steve Garrington, and Brian Joseph.
Spent the week of November 6th in New York with my family and Big Red Machine. We had an incredible show at Terminal 5, followed by an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. So grateful for this experience! Please check out the BRM record as well, out recently on jagjaguwar
I was recording in late October in Omaha with The Lowest Pair for Team Love, with Mike Mogis producing. Very organic and fun week with them.
Just returned from Berlin and PEOPLE fest. what an amazing experience. Played with Big Red Machine, Jenny Lewis, Bonny Light Horseman, and LULUC (that was with new drum friend Jason Treuting of So Percussion as well)
an overwhelming yet reaffirming situation with over 200 artists collaborating in multiple rooms in the same building for a week straight! Look for some live recordings to start appearing on the People player soon!
Now back in the Twin Cities for the rest of the year for the most part. Working on records, playing some shows, teaching some lessons, hanging with my family!

Truly amazing experience on so many levels. There are videos floating around if you're so inclined. Here's one excerpt I really dig. Tiny little chopstick drums. An amazing band to be a part of with Justin, BJ Burton, and Mike Lewis.
